Leads
The classic, six-foot leather dog leash has always been the choice of professional dog trainers for its strength, durability, and comfort of use. Latigo leather has very little stretch, allowing you to give an effective correction without your dog "bouncing" on the the leash.
This is the most comfortable dog leash you will ever use. Hand-cut straps with hand-beveled edges, our premium latigo leather feels supremely comfortable and broken-in from the first day you use it. All leads start with a butter-rich, deer or lamb suede handle lining and end in heavy, solid brass or solid stainless steel hardware. Raw Dog Leather leads are made from premium quality, heavyweight latigo leather. Black, red, and brown leads are made from 10-12 oz leather; all other colors are 8-10 oz weight. All connections are stitched, glued, and double-riveted for strength. These leads are the ultimate in comfort for the handler, and strong enough to restrain the most powerful canine beast. We know. Leads come in 1/2," 3/4" or 1" widths, and all lengths up to approximately six feet. The length of the lead will vary slightly; we try to utilize every inch of the hide, meaning that the six-foot lead you purchase may actually be a few inches longer than six feet. Please include a note with your order if the finished measurement needs to be an exact length. If there's a variation, it will always be slightly longer, rather than shorter.
Straps longer than six feet are occasionally available-cut from the backbone edge, only one or two of these cuts can be made from each hide. Please contact us for availability if you wish to order a lead greater than six feet in length.
